We decided the old crazy paving patio really was out of time so in October and November 2008 we ripped it up (and the concrete path round the house) and replaced them with block pavers .....3 skips, about 12 tons of debris, 4 tons of pavers, 3 tons of sand......phew!!! Here's me re-building the lawn's retaining wall - sunny but blooming cold.
